Disclosures
The Data Center Index compiles public information and adds our own estimates. It is accurate to the best of our knowledge, but it is not guaranteed. Please read how to use it.

In short: this site is a compilation of news reports, regulatory filings, government sources and other public information, plus our own model estimates. It is right to the best of our knowledge, may contain errors, and is not professional advice. Discovery Energy and the authors are not responsible for errors or for decisions made using it. What this site is
The Data Center Index and every page of datacenterindex.info (the “Site”) are a compilation of information gathered from publicly available sources, including news reports, regulatory and utility filings, grid operator publications, federal, state, provincial and local government websites, company press releases, permit and zoning records, public project trackers and other third-party sources. The Site is published by Discovery Energy Utility Audits (“Discovery Energy”, “we”, “us”) for general information only.
Accuracy: to the best of our knowledge
We work to keep the information accurate and current, and it is correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of publication. However, we do not independently verify every item, and our sources may themselves be incomplete, inconsistent, outdated or wrong. Data center projects change often: they are resized, renamed, delayed, sold, combined or cancelled, sometimes without public notice.
Accordingly, the Site may contain errors, omissions or out-of-date information. Each campus carries a confidence grade (A to D) to show how well its figures are supported, and preview editions in particular contain unverified data.
Estimates, models and forward-looking statements
Many figures on the Site, including expected load, in-service years, energy use, natural gas burn, impact ratings, regional shares and cost effects, are estimates produced by our own models, not figures reported by the companies, utilities or agencies involved. They depend on assumptions described in our methodology, and different reasonable assumptions would give different results.
Statements about future construction, load, prices, bills, tariffs or economic effects are forward-looking. They are inherently uncertain, and actual outcomes may differ materially. We have no obligation to update them, although we intend to revise the index as new information becomes available.
No warranty
The Site and all of its content, data, charts and downloads are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Discovery Energy, its owners, employees, contributors and authors are not responsible or liable for any errors or omissions in the content, or for any loss, damage, cost or claim of any kind, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or otherwise, arising from the use of, reliance on, or inability to use the Site or any information on it. Any reliance you place on the information is strictly at your own risk.
Not professional advice
Nothing on the Site is investment, financial, legal, tax, engineering, regulatory or real-estate advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, commodity or property, or to support or oppose any project, rate case or policy. Nothing on the Site is an offer or solicitation. Before making decisions, consult qualified professionals and the primary sources, such as the relevant utility, grid operator, regulator or company.
Third-party content, names and links
Company, project, utility and product names, trademarks and logos mentioned on the Site belong to their respective owners. Their mention is for identification only and does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement or criticism by or of Discovery Energy. Inclusion of a project is not a judgment about its merits.
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and as source references. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices.
Independence and potential conflicts
Discovery Energy provides utility bill audit, energy procurement and energy cost advisory services to commercial and industrial organizations, including customers whose utility costs may be affected by data center growth. We publish the index independently of that client work. We do not accept payment to include, exclude, rank or rate any project.
Corrections
If you believe something on the Site is inaccurate or out of date, please tell us at info@deaudits.com with “Correction” in the subject line, the page or campus concerned, and a source if you have one. We review every request and update the index where the evidence supports a change. Project owners are welcome to send updated figures.
